Summary

THE DOUBLE SWIRL TUBE HAS THE FOLLOWING DIMENSIONS: DIAMETER OF TUBE, 25.4 MM ; TUBE LENGTH OF THE HEAT TRANSFER, 2,952 MM ; SWIRL PITCH, 36.0 MM. THE NUMBER OF TUBES USED IN THE CONDENSER IS 30, AND THE ACTUAL TOTAL SURFACE AREA IS 7.42 M2. R22 IS USED AS THE WORKING FLUID. EMPIRICAL CORRELATIONS ARE PROPOSED IN ORDER TO PREDICT THE AVERAGE CONDENSATION HEAT-TRANSFER COEFFICIENT AND THE WATER SIDE HEAT-TRANSFER COEFFICIENT.
