Factors of importance in cycle performance estimations.

Author(s) : VAMLING L.

Summary

The importance of basic factors, such as heat transfer, pressure drop, compressor efficiency, and thermodynamic properties, in performance estimations of heat-pump cycles, is stressed. By comparing these estimations with experimental results, the author shows to which extent accuracy improvements are needed. The comparison shows that evaporation heat transfer and compressor efficiency are two areas where improvements are needed. It is also shown to what extent the choice of equation of state influences the performance estimates.
