Flow boiling heat transfer experiments with zeotropic blends in a horizontal tube.

Author(s) : ROHLIN P.

Summary

The paper presents results from horizontal flow boiling tests with pure R22, R32, R134a and R142b. The measured heat transfer coefficients are compared with several pure data correlations. The correlation by Gungor and Winterton from 1987 is showing the best agreement with the experimental data. Three mixtures with R32 and R134a are also compared with the Gungor-Winterton correlation and an additional correlation by Shah. Results are given.
