Type of article: Article
Summary
Fourteen associations have joined AFFI in fighting the country of origin marking amendment for frozen products. "If passed, the amendment would erect a non-tariff barrier to free trade, in direct contravention to the stated policies of the Clinton administration, as well as the goals of recent negotiations in the North American Free Trade Agreement and the pending legislation to implement the results of the Uruguay Round negotiations of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade", said the coalition.
