Summary

THE FREEZE PRESERVATION OF HUMAN SEMEN IS PERFORMED WITH DRY ICE OR LIQUID NITROGEN AS REFRIGERANTS, AND THE PRESERVATION MEDIUM CONTAINS GLYCERIN AND EGG YOLK TO AVOID THE THERMAL SHOCK AND THE FORMATION OF ICE CRYSTALS. THERE WAS NO SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NATURAL PREGNANCY AND THAT BY FROZEN SEMEN, THUS THE SAFETY OF ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION WITH FROZEN SEMEN HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED.
