Summary
A STUDY FOUND THAT THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FROZEN LAYER AT THE ONSET AND STEADY STATE WERE WELL CLASSIFIED BY BOTH REYNOLDS NUMBER AND THE COOLING TEMPERATURE RATIO. THE CORRELATION EQUATION OF THE AVERAGED FROZEN LAYER THICKNESS WAS DETERMINED.
