Fresh and frozen fish in Norwegian supermarkets, at which temperature is it bought?

Summary

A survey during summer 1994 of temperature conditions in retail display cabinets and freezers at six supermarkets in Trondheim is the background for the paper. Result obtained shows that for chilled cabinets the mean air temperature was 9.2 deg C with 41% of the measured air temperatures ranging from 10 deg C and above. The situation in the freezers was slightly better with mean product temperatures ranging from -12.9 to -23.2 deg C.
