IN 1980, THE OVERALL CONSUMPTION OF FROZEN FOODS (NOT INCLUDING POULTRY AND ICE CREAM) REACHED 521,150 T (VALUE: DM 2.8 MILLIARD), AGAINST 460,088 T (VALUE: DM 2.4 MILLIARD) IN 1979, I.E. 8.4 KG PER CAPITA (0.9 KG MORE THAN IN 1979). THREE TABLES COMPARE THE TONNAGES OF CONSUMED PRODUCTS, ACCORDING TO THEIR KIND (VEGETABLES, FRUIT, PREPARED FOODSTUFFS) IN 1979 AND IN 1980: OVERALL CONSUMPTION, HOUSEHOLD AND INSTITUTIONAL CONSUMPTION, THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGES CORRESPONDING TO THE CONSUMPTION OF POTATO PRODUCTS (MAINLY CHIPS), BAKERY PRODUCTS (PIES) AND VARIOUS PREPARED FOODS, AMONGST WHICH PIZZA PIES. THE GENERAL AVERAGE INCREASE IN CONSUMPTION BETWEEN 1979 AND 1980 IS ABOUT 15%. G.G.
