Summary

Dossier of three articles concerning the current changes in the market for quick-frozen meat products. This market share represents 39,500 tons per year, of which 82% are minced meat, and grows by 7.3% per year. Concerning minced and cut meat, manufacturers increase their market share, notably for hamburgers, meatballs, meat olives etc, as a results of the development of new, usually mixed products (meat and vegetables). For frozen poultry, products with breadcrumbs, etc, the manufacturers also broaden their range with individual precooked meals, notably for children. These snack-type products have shown a 7% growth in 1992. Y.G.
