Gas chromatography analysis of refrigerants' composition and cell gas composition in insulating foams.

Author(s) : OPATOVA H., MACCHI H., GUILPART J., et al.

Summary

From a legal and technological viewpoint, the analysis of these fluids is all the more necessary that the compositional changes of both refrigerant blends and cell gases in insulating foams may reduce the refrigerating equipment efficiency. Within this context, the present work briefly deals with the measurement protocols for these substances: gas chromatography was used for separation and detection of halocarbons. The present work gives two case studies: control and study of the behaviour of non-azeotropic refrigerant bends in a refrigerating plant and study of insulating foams' ageing.
