GAS ENGINE DRIVEN HEAT PUMP WITH A SILENT EVAPORATOR FOR A GREENHOUSE.

Summary

THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES A MODEL SIMULATING A GAS-ENGINE DRIVEN HE AT PUMP WITH A SILENT EVAPORATOR MADE UP OF A TUBE BUNDLE AROUND WHICH AIR CIRCULATES. THE ATMOSPHERIC AMBIENT CONDITIONS, TEMPERATURE, SOLAR RADIATION, WIND AND HUMIDITY ARE ALLOWED FOR. IF THERE IS FROST FORMATION ON THE TUBE, THE OVER-ALL HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT INCLUDES A DRY COEFFICIENT, DEFINING CONVECTION TRANSFER AND A WET COEFFICIENT, DEFINING THE SUBLIMATION OF AIRHUMIDITY PASSING THROUGH THE FROST LAYER AND REACHING THE TUBE WALLS. IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THE FROST LAYER THICKNESS, A MODEL WAS MADE, BASED ON THE EMISSION AND THE RECEPTION OF INFRARED RAYS, MEASURING THE FROST LAYER IN SEVERAL STEPS. THE RESULTS OF THE MODEL AGREE WITH MEASUREMENT DATA.
