Summary

THE GAS VISCOSITY OF THE MIXTURE WAS MEASURED WITH AN OSCILLATING MAXWELL TYPE DISK VISCOMETER AT TEMPERATURES OF 273 TO 303 K (0 TO 30 DEG C) AND PRESSURES UP TO 0.7 MEGAPASCAL. AN EMPIRICAL EQUATION WAS DERIVED FOR VISCOSITY AS A FUNCTION OF THE COMPOSITION, TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE. ATMOSPHERIC VISCOSITY WAS PREDICTED FAIRLY SATISFACTORILY BY THE SUTHERLAND-THIESEN EQUATION, THE COEFFICIENTS FOR WHICH WERE APPROXIMATED BY BROKAW'S METHOD.
