Summary

MEASUREMENTS OF THE VAPOUR-LIQUID COEXISTENCE CURVE IN THE CRITICAL REGION FOR THE REFRIGERANT MIXTURE OF R152A-R114 WERE MADE BY VISUAL OBSERVATION OF THE DISAPPEARANCE OF THE MENISCUS AT THE VAPOUR-LIQUID INTERFACE. 48 SATURATED DENSITIES FOR DIFFERENT COMPOSITIONS OF 10, 20, 50, 80 AND 90 WT% R152A WERE OBTAINED IN THE RANGE 370 TO 409 K. ON THE BASIS OF THESE MEASUREMENTS, THE CRITICAL PARAMETERS OF 5 DIFFERENT COMPOSITIONS WERE DETERMINED. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RESULTS OF THE MIXTURES R12-R22, R22-R114 AND R13B1-R114, THE COEXISTENCE CURVE AND CRITICAL CURVE ON THE TEMPERATURE-DENSITY DIAGRAM FOR BINARY REFRIGERANT MIXTURES WERE DISCUSSED. IN ADDITION, CORRELATIONS WERE PROPOSED.
