This publication has been prepared under the project “Conversion of room air conditioners in China from fluorinated refrigerants to environment-friendly R290 (propane) technology” funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) within the framework of the International Climate Initiative based on a decision of the German Federal Parliament. It examines the technical, safety and administrative problems related to the use of flammable gases in the production of air-conditioning systems.
