Type of article: Article
Summary
TO CLARIFY THE APPROACH TO FINDING OZONE-FRIENDLY REFRIGERANTS , THE AUTHOR DEFINES THE IMPORTANT ISSUE OF FULLY HALOGENATED AS COMPARED WITH NOT-FULLY HALOGENATED. THE FULLY HALOGENATED REFRIGERANT BEING THAT CAUSING THE MOST OZONE DAMAGE. HE GOES ON TO CONSIDER THE CRUCIAL PROPERTIES OF REFRIGERANTS AS THEY AFFECT UNALTERABLE CHARACTERISTICS OF REFIEAINPAT. THESE HE COMBINES ON A BAR CHART TO PRODUCE THE < CFC FOOTPRINT >. A REFRIGERANT TO REPLACE DIRECTLY ONE THAT IS TO BE DISCARDED WOULD NEED TO SHOW AN IDENTICAL < FOOTPRINT >. D.W.H.
