Summary

Conventional ice-storage systems have the following disadvantages: high initial cost, unreduceable running costs, and considerable man-hours required for designing the system. The newly developed "Ice pack system" eliminates all of these disadvantages and makes it easier to use. The paper explains the design concept, specifications structure, performance and features of the static ice storage unit which is the core of the "Ice pack system".
