HEATING BY ABSORPTION HEAT PUMPS. ANALYSIS THROUGH A SIMULATION MODEL.

Summary

AN AMMONIA-WATER ABSORPTION HEAT PUMP MODEL WAS MADE AND ITS PERFORMANCES FOR DIFFERENT OPERATING CONDITIONS WERE CALCULATED. THE BEHAVIOUR OF THIS MACHINE FOR THE HEATING OF A BUILDING WAS TESTED WITH PADUA WEATHER DATA FOR WINTER. THE SMALL SLOPE OF THE CAPACITY CURVE MEETS MOST LOADS WITH THE HEAT PUMP EVEN IF THE EQUILIBRIUM POINT OF LOADS/CAPACITY IS AT 277 K (4 DEG C). THE AVERAGE SEASONAL COP IS HIGHER THAN 1.35 WITH A PRIMARY ENERGY RATIO OF ABOUT 1.1.
