THIS SYSTEM IS INSTALLED AT A PORK-BUTCHER'S. THE HEAT PUMP OPERATES WITH R12 ; IT RECOVERS THE HEAT DISCHARGED BY THE NH3 REFRIGERANT (DESUPERHEATING AND CONDENSATION) AND IT WARMS THE ROOMS, THE DRYING-OVENS AND WASHING WATER, ALL AT A TEMPERATURE LOWER THAN 338 K (65 DEG C). AT PEAK HOURS, THE HEAT PUMP ALSO RECOVERS THE HEAT FROM THE MOTOR AND THE GAS OF A GENERATING SET. THE AUTHOR GIVES, BY PERIODS OF TIME, REFRIGERATION AND HEATING CAPACITIES, OPERATING TIMES, ELECTRIC CONSUMPTIONS, FUEL SAVINGS AND ECONOMIC AND ENERGY BALANCES. L.R.
