Détention des veaux nouveau-nés dans des igloos en hiver.
Author(s) : GUTZWILLER A., MOREL I.
Type of article: Article
Summary
A comparative study of the housing of 112 new-born calves during the winter for their first two weeks, whether in outdoor hutches or in a temperate cattle shed, showed that keeping calves in hutches was more favourable to their health and growth. Low temperatures did not seem to affect the adaptability of healthy new-born calves.
