Summary
A debate is raging on the best ways of overcoming fire hazards in insulated food preparation areas and cold stores. The author proposes: design in active and passive fire protection for high risk areas; carry out a simple risk analysis; compartment areas and stop hidden fire spread; passive fire protection can be provided by use of Rockwool panels; all foam panels are roughly equivalent in a fire.
