Author(s) : KOBÁNYAI K., TÓTH R., ZOLTÁN A.

Summary

This paper presents the standardised annual inventory reporting requirements requested by the UNFCCC on HFC, PFC emissions in the RACHP sector and the most up-to-date data of several countries and the EU. It aims to explain the differences between the “state-of-the-art” knowledge of present emissions and the “art of inventorying”, and the linkages and (non) applicability of data provision required by the EU F-gas regulation for the purposes of UNFCCC inventories. The methods applicable and the data needed for estimation of emissions from RACHP sector based on the required IPCC Guidebooks is described together with the HU method and the recalculation of the time-series of emission in 2013 submission due to the inclusion of data collected from the additional reporting requirements of HU RACHP stakeholders. Lessons learned, problems emerging during preparation of the inventory and future challenges are also listed.
