THREE ICE-MAKING PROCESSES WERE TESTED: PRODUCTION OF BLOCK, PLATE OR TUBE ICE. THE SECOND PROCESS IS THE MOST ECONOMIC DUE TO INEXPENSIVE PRODUCTION AND GOOD HEAT TRANSFER, BUT NONE OF THE TESTED ICE GENERATORS WAS REALLY SATISFACTORY; AN IMPROVEMENT IS POSSIBLE IN SEVERAL DOMAINS.
