Summary
The logistics required when handling fresh foods have evolved as distribution hubs have become increasingly widespread. The relatively short shelf life of products is now preventing speculative stockpiling. Fresh products are thus the first to benefit from progress in technology and logistics, and their distribution has become more effective.
