Influence of ambient forced-air ventilation rate on potato storage wastage.
Author(s) : BERTOLINI P., GUARNIERI A.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Three ventilation rates are tested: 0.0190, 0.0306 and 0.0417 m3 per tonne. Under the climatic conditions of Northern Italy, a ventilation rate of 0.0306 is convenient for storing potatoes for 100 days, resulting in minimal weight loss. Deterioration and germination are insignificant for the ventilation rates of 0.0306 and 0.0417.
