Summary
Most refrigerants used to replace R22 in recent years are nonazeotropic refrigerant mixtures. The paper analyses the heat transfer coefficient reduction on both condensation and evaporation compared with that of pure refrigerants such as R22. Based on this analysis, the authors discuss the design and selection of water cooling chiller units when using nonazeotropic refrigerant mixtures.
