Summary

NEW GERMAN GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS CONCERNING CFCS STIPULATE WHEN NEW REFRIGERATING EQUIPMENT AND THE CORRESPONDING REFRIGERANTS ARE TO BE ON THE MARKET. HOWEVER, THERE ARE ALREADY IN USE WORLDWIDE SOME 90,000 R11-TURBO REFRIGERATING SYSTEMS, WHICH RELEASE AN ESTIMATED 7,500 TONS OF REFRIGERANT ANNUALLY INTO THE ATMOSPHERE THROUGH LEAKS AND DURING REPAIRS. INNOVATIVE CONTROL PROCEDURES CAN VIRTUALLY ELIMINATE THIS LOSS.
