Summary

A DETAILED REVIEW OF PUBLICATIONS IS PRESENTED AND DISCUSSED ON THE APPLICATION OF JET SPRAYING APPARATUSES FOR REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS WITH RECIRCULATION OF LIQUID AND VAPOROUS REFRIGERANTS IN THEIR EVAPORATORS. OPTIMAL COOLANT MASS VELOCITIES IN EVAPORATOR TUBES AND BEST TUBE SIZES ARE DETERMINED BY THE AA. FOR A RANGE OF COOLING CHARACTERISTICS. IT WAS SHOWN THAT RECIRCULATION OF LIQUID REFRIGERANT IN EVAPORATORS INTENSIFIES THE HEAT EXCHANGE AND LEADS TO SMALLER OVERALL SIZES OF THE EVAPORATOR, IMPROVING THE ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY OF THE REFRIGERATING MACHINE. HOWEVER, RECIRCULATION OF VAPOROUS REFRIGERANTS RESULTING IN AN EVEN LARGER DECREASE IN SIZES HAVE ONLY NEGATIVE EFFECTS ON THE EFFICIENCY OF THE MACHINE. E.K.
