Summary

The main post-harvest problem of Pink Lady Cripps Pink (COV) apples is senescent breakdown due to a nutritional imbalance in the orchard. Young trees or those with an insufficient fruit load are especially affected; overripe fruits are also more susceptible. The phenomenon becomes more acute when the apples are returned to ambient temperature. The influence of various physical parameters of storage needs to be studied.
