Investigations for the use of new refrigerants: a German-Indian project.

Summary

In the mid-1993, a German-Indian project has been developed in order to investigate new refrigerants, in particular for the situation in India. The project is presented and the first experimental results with R134a, obtained on a drying test rig of the Indian Institute of Technology in Madras, are reported as an example, in order to compare them with the results obtained with the R12 on the same test rig. The results of the investigation concerning the very discussed possibilities of using the temperature glide occurring during ebullition of azeotropic mixtures are given.
