Summary

Studies were carried out over 3 crop seasons on cultivars planted on fine sandy loam in 1976. Trees were subjected to furrow, trickle or deficit trickle in irrigation (800, 450 and 400 millimetres/year respectively) and fruits were harvested at the recommended commercial harvest or 10 days later. Fruit quality was evaluated at harvest, after 7 days at 20 deg C, after storage at 1 deg C for 120 days, and after storage followed by 7 days at 20 deg C. Results are given.
