This book deals with access to underground geothermal resources and their use as energy sources. After a presentation of the main principles pertaining to geology, hydrogeology and thermal exploitation of these resources, the book presents various sectors in a detailed manner, in particular: geothermal heat networks, geothermal heat pumps on aquifers or probe fields; applications in agriculture, fish farming, spas and electricity generation.
This second edition has been updated, in particular concerning the outcome of French use, and it provides additional information on new applications.
