Legal aspects of natural working fluids.
Author(s) : SEILER H.
Summary
Natural working fluids may cause accidents, which would not happen if other fluids were used. This raises the question of whether the manufacturer and/or the installer of systems with natural fluids will be held liable in the case of an accident. The paper tries to give an answer to these questions. It was prepared mainly on the basis of Swiss law (but the principles of liability are more or less the same at least in European legal systems). Liability may be different in American law.
