Flammable working fluids in Switzerland: risk assessment of natural working fluids.
Author(s) : WOLFER M.
Summary
If the commonly used working fluids (CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs) are going to be replaced by natural fluids such as ammonia (toxic) or propane (highly flammable) the question arises as to whether the environmental benefits will outweigh the additional risks. The presentation takes a look at the risks of natural working fluids in comparison with HFCs. It was followed by a discussion of the legal aspects by Dr H.J. Seiler.
