Summary
Despite the presence of large numbers of lobsters of various species in Iranian waters, fishing has never been developed and commercial channels for Iranian lobster did not exist until 1988. The harvesting, processing, and export efforts undertaken by the "Shilat Co" company have since created a market in Europe for frozen lobster tails.
