Martian permafrost.
Le pergélisol martien.
Author(s) : COSTARD F.
Type of article: Article, IJR article
Summary
The paper deals with the presence and the composition of permafrost on the planet Mars. The author's conclusions are the result not only of the measurements of temperature, pressure or other parameters, carried out by observation, or directly by Viking sensors, but also of the precise observation of the shape and distribution of so-called "ejecta" craters on the planet. The assessment of depth, distribution of Martian permafrost around the planet is possible.
