MATHEMATICAL MODELS FOR RESPIRATION OF GREEN BANANA UNDER CONTROLLED ATMOSPHERE CONDITIONS.
Author(s) : KOLE N. K., PRASAD S.
Summary
THE RATES OF CO2 TRANSFORMATION AND O2 CONSUMPTION PER HOUR FOR GREEN BANANAS AT DIFFERENT STORAGE TEMPERATURES (BETWEEN 5 AND 35 DEG C), WAS STUDIED, WITH DIFFERENT CO2 AND O2 CONCENTRATIONS MAINTAINED IN THE STORAGE ATMOSPHERE.MATHEMATICAL MODELS WERE DEVELOPED FOR ATMOSPHERE COMPOSITION, CO2 TRANSFORMATION AND O2 CONSUMPTION. RESULTS OF MODELS WERE CORRECT WITHIN ACCEPTABLE LIMITS.
