The effect of relative humidity on modified atmosphere packaging gas exchange.

Summary

A model to estimate the gas profile of modified-atmosphere packaged prickly pear cactus stems was developed and calibrated. The model describes the transient gas exchange taking into consideration the effect of temperature and relative humidity on film permeability, respiration rate and tissue permeance.
