Summary

The vapor-liquid coexistence curves near the critical point of the binary HFO-1234yf + HFC-32 mixtures were measured by the visual observation of meniscus disappearance. Eleven, eighteen, and eleven saturated density data for the 50 mass%, 80 mass%, and 90 mass% HFO-1234yf mixtures, respectively, were obtained. The critical temperatures and critical densities for three compositions were determined taking into consideration of the meniscus disappearing level as well as the intensity of the critical opalescence. The critical pressure of those mixtures was determined from the analysis of P?Tx measurements. In addition, the composition dependence of the critical parameters for the HFO-1234yf + HFC-32 mixtures is discussed.
