Summary

PVT properties of 50 mass% R1132(E) + 50 mass% R1234yf blend and those of 70 mass% R1132(E) + 30 mass% R1234yf blend were measured in the temperature range from 300 K to 410 K, in the density range between 59 kg m-3 and 925 kg m-3, and at pressures up to 6.9 MPa by the isochoric method. The saturated densities of these blends were measured by the visual observation of the vapor-liquid meniscus disappearance, and their critical parameters were determined in consideration of the meniscus disappearing level as well as the intensity of critical opalescence. At present there is no available of accurate mulit-parameters equation of state (EOS) for R1132(E) fitted to reliable experimental data, and so comparisons between the present data and the Peng-Robinson EOS whose interaction parameter was determined by vapor-liquid equilibrium data of this blend were performed in the vapor phase.
