Measurements on household refrigerators with combustible refrigerants.

Summary
Among the proposed CFC alternatives are new substances like R134a, and substances that have been known for a long lime, including hydrocarbons like propane, butane and others. Based on theoretical investigations, a mixture of hydrocarbons was proposed. However, experience thus far, as well as extended measurements do not give much hope of immediate energy advantages in the household domain. Yet, the development of R134a is for the most part completed. Beginning next year, R134a refrigerators will become more and more common. L.P.
