Melt cast process-BSCCO 2212 tubes for power applications up to 10 kiloangströms.
Author(s) : BOCK J., ELSCHNER S., HERRMANN P. F.
Summary
The melt cast process is a highly flexible manufacturing method for BSCCO 2212 bulk parts in a large variety of shapes and dimensions. Critical-current densities of 2.5-4 kiloamperes/cm2 are obtained as intrinsic selffield free values. Different prototypes of low-loss hybrid current leads, have been produced as well as functional models for current limiting and for shielding.
