Mixture of HFC-134a and HC-600a: a promising substitute to CFC-12.
Author(s) : CHAUBE A., AGARWAL R. S.
Summary
The paper presents a thermodynamic study of the mixture of HFC-134a and HC-600a as a possible drop-in substitute to CFC-12. The vapour pressure data of the mixture of HFC-134a and HC-600a has been measured over wide range of temperature. The thermodynamic properties of the mixture of HFC-134a and HC-600a have been established over a wide range of temperature and pressure. The vapour compression refrigeration system analysis has been carried out by taking various compositions of proposed mixture and R12 to compare the performance and to evaluate the suitable composition. Finally, a case study was analyzed.
