THE FIRST PART OF THIS TWO-PART ARTICLE TABULATES FOOD PRODUCTS IN VARIOUS TEMPERATURE CLASSIFICATIONS AND GIVES THE DISTRIBUTION VEHICLE CONDITIONS OF TEMPERATURE AND VENTILATION THAT ARE REQUIRED. THE SECOND PART SURVEYS THE POSSIBILITIES AVAILABLE TODAY OF PRODUCING THESE CONDITIONS SIMULTANEOUSLY IN THE SAME VEHICLE. THE COMPARTMENTING VARIES FROM A SINGLE MOVABLE TRANSVERSE BULKHEAD TO LONGITUDINAL DIVISIONS MOVABLE OR FIXED. REFRIGERATION MAY BE BY SEPARATE LIQUID NITROGEN SPRAYS, SECONDARY AIR CIRCULATION FROM COLD TO WARMER COMPARTMENTS, OR BY SEPARATE EVAPORATOR SYSTEMS.
