Summary
Two gas heat pump technologies exist. Whether they are absorption heat pumps or gas driven engine heat pumps, they show undeniable assets to answer favourably to what is at stake in the "Grenelle de l'Environnement". With similar or even higher performances than their electrical rivals, they are able to cover heating and cooling needs, but also domestic hot water production, whatever the outside conditions. As for any new products, the commercial offer after is limited, but it is currently diversifying with available water to water and air to water units adapted to both new and existing buildings, dedicated to commercial and residential uses.
