Summary
In Germany, about one million automobiles (25% of total production) are air-conditioned. The replacement of R12 by R134a is almost completed. Alternative designs (adsorption plants) are now being studied. For electrical vehicles, the system will be different from the one used in traditional combustion-engine vehicles. For transport vehicles and buses, if the number of installed refrigeration and air-conditioning systems is low, then growth prospects are interesting; alternative solutions are discussed.
