Summary

A comparison of various storage techniques - controlled atmosphere (2% O2 -5% CO2) at -1 °C and 1 °C; ethylene-enriched controlled atmosphere at -1 °C; controls at -1 °C and 1 °C; nine days of immersion in renewed water with subsequent storage in a normal atmosphere at 1 °C - showed the benefits, under the 2001 trial conditions, of combining a controlled atmosphere and a below-zero temperature for the Marigoule and Bouche de Bétizac varieties.
