THE USE OF A NON-AZEOTROPIC MIXTURE AS THE WORKING MEDIUM OF A COMPRESSION HEAT PUMP HAS SEVERAL ADVANTAGES, ILLUSTRATED BY DIAGRAMS, AS FOR COP, THERMAL CAPACITY AND FLEXIBILITY. THE MIXTURE COMPOSITION IS OPTIMISED BY A THERMODYNAMIC CALCULATION MODEL. COMPARATIVE TESTS WERE CARRIED OUT ON AN EXPERIMENTAL HEAT PUMP. A FIRST MIXTURE, ALREADY AVAILABLE, IS THEN INTRODUCED.
