Numerical simulation of air flow and temperature in large enclosures with surface radiation.

Author(s) : OFF F., SCHALIN A., MOSER A.

Summary

Researching the best air distribution models for an occupied enclosure, does not only aim at comfort, but also at saving energy and reducing pollution. Frequent design use of large enclosures (atria, domes) by architects causes problems not only related to convection, but also to radiation, particularly infrared. The simulation program takes these into account, as well as possible shadow-generating obstacles.
