Summary
Attention has been focused on small hermetic compressors commonly used in household refrigerators and freezers. This study presents the design and the experimental results obtained using a test bench that has been built to develop and to validate a numerical model of a reciprocating compressor working with R134a. The technical conditions of the tests, and the results obtained, are discussed.
