Observation of weakly adsorbed oxygen on YBCO.

Author(s) : KAO S., NG K. Y. S.

Type of article: Article

Summary

The authors observed, for the first time, adsorption of weakly bonded oxygen at low temperature (below 250 deg C) by a YBCO sample, using thermogravimetric analysis. The resulting "oxygen enriched" phase in the surface layers may be attributed to the observation of a superconductivity-like transition at above 200 K.
